Guild Rules

Game ethics & Common sense

We expect our guild members to treat each other with respect as well for all the other people in the game. Abide by the Blizzards rules of conduct. Respect other people's opinions and ideas. Racism, sexism, malicious mistreating or bad mouthing our guild members will never be tolerated. Upholding relationships between us and the rest of the server is considered important. You will be removed from the guild without hesitation if you are not living up to the guild standards.

Raid Guild

Valorous is a raiding guild, we expect all members to be committed to our guild. Doing raid dungeons, which we are currently scheduling raids for, with PUGs or other raiding guilds is not allowed. You may of course pug any instance that we do not have currently in our Scheduled Raiding Instances, on our off days. We expect every member to be able to take directions considering their build, in game play style, equipment and so on. If you cannot take this kind of advice, you are not Valorous material. Remember that our raids are not only about getting loot, but about helping the guild progress further in the game. Loot is nice, but don’t let greed rule how you act. Eventually, everyone will get the nice gear. Gearing out all of our members is one of the guild goals. It just requires patience, teamwork, and a commitment to making the raid work, which sometimes means making a personal sacrifice for the group like being on standby for a raid.

Raid Attendance

Our success is very much based on consistent attendance by all our members. Therefore we require that our members sign up for at least 75% of all scheduled raids per month. This is just as important through farm & progress content. Repeat kills are what make a guild, one offs are forgotten.
Raid Times

Absence from Valorous raiding

We do realize people have real lives and need to be away from time to time, but since we are a raid guild you have to notify us with a post in the absence forum.
If you are absent for more than two weeks without any prior notification, you will lose your membership, all privileges and will have to reapply if you wish to rejoin.
If you are absent for more than four weeks and have notified us about it, you will loose your membership and will have to reapply if you wish to rejoin.

Becoming a Member

When first entering the guild you will receive a rank of Initiate. This rank will last for a minimum of two weeks and during this time you will be evaluated by guild master and officers. If at the end of this evaluation period you have been approved, you will become a member of Valorous. If not, you will either be evaluated for one more week or you will be removed from the guild.

Playing on Alternate Characters

Playing on alternate characters is encouraged because it teaches you how another class is working. However, it is not acceptable to play on your alternate character if the equipment on your main character is not as good quality as you can get (outside of the raids we run). You should spend your online time improving your gear to get the most out of your character, this will benefit both you and the guild in the long run.
