DKP System

EPGP is the loot system used for 25 man raids. We believe this system is the fairest system to gauge effort and loot received. For a detailed write up on the EPGP system you can visit this site:

What Is EPGP

How Items are Valued

We will use EPGP that gives us the GP cost for each item.

How the items are distributed

Common and Rare are given to the master looter (guild bank) to either be disenchanted (BoP items) or sold in the AH (BoE items).

The Main Tank has priority on all class loot gear regardless of his/her current priority in the current DKP standings. The one epic per raid rule does not apply to him/her

Members have priority on all epics, then initiates and then alts. Items can only be needed if it applies to your class. Members will only have priority on one epic per 25-man raid regardless if they have higher priority on subsequent drops. This is to ensure the loot is evenly distributed amongst the members.

Please note that all members have to achieve at least 250 EP before being able to compete with other members in the guild.

To enable us to keep the number of members down, we will occasionally need members to respec if they are in classes that can perform multiple roles. To ensure that we have people with secondary gear to meet the challenges of cross rolling, when no one wants an item for their main sets we will allocate the Secondary Gear to specific people. If that person does not want the item for their secondary set then others will be able to roll for for the item for 0 dkp.  If no one wants an item it will be disenchanted for the guild bank.

BOE Patterns from are available to the highest roller for 0 dkp, members will have priority over initiates. In addition, members will have priority on loot in 10 man raids despite the abscence of EP/GP.

How to earn DKP

EP (Effort Point) can be awarded through multiple activities

  • Being on time at least 15 minutes prior to raid start
  • Killing a Boss – 20-1000 EP (Boss specific)
  • Being present until the end of raid
  • Being extraordinarily helpful to the guild (making pots for a specific fight) – 5 EP/Raid
  • Doing some grunt work no one wants to tackle, like updating the guild's website – 10 EP/Week

GP (Gear Points) are accounted mainly through:

  • Receiving loot in a raid

Decay

To avoid EP hoarding, every week a decay of 25% will be applied to all members EP/GP points. This will also encourage people to be active, otherwise they will fall below the 250 EP limit making them in-eligible to compete for loot with other members above 250 EP. This decay will be applied every Sunday.

Base GP

The whole idea of using Decay is to promote active raiders getting a higher PR value and also ensure that inactive raiders fall below the 1000EP limit. But, and here's the but, it doesn't change their PR value since the decay is evenly applied on both EP and GP. To counter this there is something called Base GP.

Base GP provides a method to modify the effect decay has on Priority. Whichever value you set here, the *effective* GP will not decay past that value. The actual GP, including all decay, will be retained in the database but for the calculation of Priority the number provided here will be used instead if the GP falls below it.

The Base GP value we will use for now is 100.
